TranscritorAi browser extension
Transcribe the open page, just the selected excerpt or several links, without pasting anything into the site.
Install
Choose your browser's store. On Brave, Opera and Vivaldi use the Chrome store.
The store buttons will appear here as soon as the extension is published.
What it does
- Transcribes the open page, a selected excerpt, a link or a video from the right-click menu.
- Builds a list of links (Add on each page, or all open tabs at once) and sends everything together, with your credit balance in view.
- Sends the page as you see it, useful for pages behind a login, without forms or passwords.
- Shows progress in the browser itself and opens the result in TranscritorAi.
How to use
Install the extension, click the TranscritorAi icon in the browser and then Connect to my account. You approve the connection here on the site, already signed in: the extension never sees your password.
Right-click a page, a selected excerpt, a link or a video and choose TranscritorAi.
For several links, use Add to list on each page or Add all tabs in the extension icon. Then choose Transcribe now or Review on the website.
Drag to the site
Without installing anything, you can also drag a link, the page address or selected text onto the TranscritorAi upload area. Dragging a tab from the tab bar does not work, because the browser does not hand the address to the site. For that, use the extension.
Extension privacy
The extension only reads a page when you click one of its items (menu, button or shortcut) and only sends what you chose: the address or, if you opt in, the content of the page or excerpt. Form fields, passwords, scripts and cookies are never sent.
It keeps no browsing history, uses no analytics or ads and talks to no service other than TranscritorAi. The list of links stays only in your browser. What you send becomes a transcription in your account, as if it had been sent from the site, and can be deleted in My files.
The connection uses the extension's own access code, which only allows sending and following transcriptions. You can remove it at any time in Account, Browser extensions, and it also stops working when you change your password. You are responsible for having the right to use the content you send, including third-party personal data that appears on the page.
Why each permission
- Context menu: create the TranscritorAi items in the right-click menu.
- Active tab and scripting: read the page or excerpt you clicked, only at that moment.
- Storage: keep the list and the connection in this browser.
- Alarms: follow the progress of a submission.
- Tabs (optional): read tab addresses for Add all tabs. Requested only the first time.
- Notifications (optional): tell you when it finishes. Requested only if you turn that option on.
